Laten we eerlijk zijn... Of niet 1

This artwork stands out for its originality and boldness. Against a sky-blue background, five mysterious figures emerge in an undefined space, covering their eyes and instantly creating a surreal atmosphere.
The face of each figure is captured in a distinct abstraction, in which patterns of red and white dots appear to cover the head or face.
These patterns evoke a sense of stoicism and uniformity, while radiating a hypnotic vibration. The most striking element is undoubtedly the bright red mouth of each figure.
Open and expressive, they seem frozen in a silent cry or exclamation, adding a powerful and unsettling emotional dimension to the work. This color contrast reinforces the feeling of strangeness and anxiety, and calls forth a silent but eloquent narrative.

The work invites both questions and contemplation, and challenges our perception of the collective and the individual, the visible and the invisible, while exploring themes such as mask and identity.

Mixed media composition on canvas measuring 120 x 120 x 2 cm.
