‘Gripped in Blue’ is a mixed media composition on a 120 x 120 cm canvas. Collage transfer, finished with oil paint and pastels. The original composition is a raw, torn two-part paper collage.

This work shows a striking juxtaposition of human elements. In the center, a fragment of Marilyn Monroe’s face stands out due to her enigmatic expression, which captures an elusive, mysterious emotion. The most striking element is the interaction between the face and a hand that seems to be covering it or emerging from it. It is as if the face and hand are having a silent conversation, evoking a hidden story or inner introspection.
